No removeable drive F
hi, i have Windows Vista and my removeable drive f has dissappeared from
under 'my computer' - this has never happened before with XP. Anybody know how to get it back? Thanks. |

Hi akaash,
I assume that you are referring to a USB/Firewire external HDD. If so, simply turn the power off on the drive, wait a few seconds, and then power it back up. This should cause Vista to redetect it. If this does not work after a few attempts, then it could be a faulty interface board in the enclosure, in which case you will need to replace it. Before you do anything, have you considered simply replacing the USB (or Firewire) cable?
