Default help with recovery partition no more bootable

hi guys,
first of all sorry for my english, i'm italian.
i've recently bought an acer 3810t.
i made an image of the recovery hidden partition called PQSERVICE.
then after trying to install ubuntu i had to format it all.
i recovered the partition from the image bot it's not booting anymore.
I managed to reinstall vista whith the recovery dvds but i'd like to
make the hidden partition bootable.
guess it's something to do with bcdedit.
I am able to access the partion.
I copied alla the files from the partition to an external hd, used
easybcd and now the external hd boots, i tried to do the same thing with
the (un)hidden partition but no way.
can you please help me?
basically all i need to know is how to make a general drive
vista-bootable

thanks

Generally a recovery partition isnt bootable, its accessed by using a key
combination on booting, is that what you mean?
