freezing problems & start up problems
I have a Toshiba satellite laptop, just barely over a year old. In Oct. the hard drive went bad and sent it in to toshiba to have it replaced under the warranty. They replaced it with a smaller hard drive first of all and none of the keyboard short cuts work. I called them about the problem and they told me I'd have to send the laptop back to them for that problem! Anywho, starting on tuesday afternoon, I went to start up the laptop, and it took forever to load windows.. Once it did it froze up like after like a minute. So I had to hard start the computer because the keyboard short cuts don't work. I've ran malware scanners, spyware scanners and virus scanners and they've all come up clean. I did the Service Pack 2 update and it's helped a little But this problem is still persistent. It's not as bad or as frequent as it was. Start up is still very slow even after I did all the above. I have plenty of space on the hard drive still. I'm just stumped. Anyone have any advice?? -- CindyRB8603 |
