I've been able to watch streaming media but all of a sudden I'm not able to
watch streaming media anymore.

on some sites the media just won't play on others I also get an error
message from windows media player 11 (error: 107285317)

I've googled this error all suggestions on how to fix it has to do with
reinstalling media player - but that is not possible since wmp 11 for vista
is not available for download.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

That's not a valid error code - for valid error codes, you can enter them
into calc.exe in "Scientific" view, click the "Hex" option, and it'll show
as an 8 digit number. Since yours maps to 6640b45, there's data missing
here. =\

That error doesn't mean anything to me - WMP error codes are typically in
the 0xc00d0000 series. If that is the data you're getting back, I don't
know where you're getting from, but it may only be producable given whatever
set of specific steps you're using. Exactly what are you doing where?
