Default windows.old

Hi I just installed windows vista and I thought I backed up my files but I
didn't and now I can't find the windows.old files, where can I find it? I
tried on Start Search but I didn't fint it.

Default windows.old

It should be on your C:\ drive, and just a folder called windows.old. You
should find your files in there.

To get there, you can click on "Computer", then "Local Disk (c". You
should find the "windows.old" folder in there.

If not, did you do an upgrade or a clean install? Only the upgrade will
create the windows.old folder.

Also try turning on show hidden files from organize - folder and search
options - view tab.

The windows.old file is normally hidden. In Windows Explorer, go to
Organize/Folder and Search Options/View Tab. Select the "Show Hidden files
and folders" option.

The windows.old folder should be next to the C:\Windows folder.
