Can't uninstall Tweakui by
campyrs
Since I installed the upgrade version of Vista home premium, I realized that
my Tweakui for XP would not work with Vista. No problem... however, Vista
will not let me uninstall it saying it only works with XP. I know this.
Does anyone know how I can uninstall it? I don't want to delete the folder.
I want to remove it from the computer entirely and properly.
Thanks for any help

Memer
I'm having problems with the windows vista sidebar. It was working fine then
suddenly it stopped working and I can't seem to view the gadgets properly.
They appear either as a blank black or white box.
Any suggestions on how to fix this problem? Or maybe if there is a way to
reinstall the sidebar?
Thanks!

Programs Wont Launch When Clicked on in Start Menu by
randomhero
I am having a problem when clicking Start and then trying to launch any
program from the recent menu list. Now when I click on the program nothing
happens and the only way to get the program to run is to goto START/ ALL
PROGRAMS and then find the program and click on it. I will then start. And
this is not with all programs either, just random programs. I have also
found if I type the name...

Mac
Sometime whenever I restart Vista the gadgets appear in a different top to
bottom order. No big problem, but I just wondered if anyone else experienced
this and if it was a known issue.

CD-RW and DVD-ROM disappeared in Vista Home Premium by
awhatley
It started when I first installed Vista Home Premium. Some days the DVD-ROM
wouldn't show up in Device Manager or My Computer and then some days both the
DVD-Rom and CD-RW wouldn't show. I could restart the computer and they would
show up, but the next day they wouldn't be there again.
Well now they don't show up at all and restarting doesn't help anymore. I
would probably just reformat from...

My turn: Why linux will never win by
Julie Smith
Well, I thought I'd troll the newsgroup today. I'm not a big MS supporter,
but I'm definately not a linux supporter (so i guess that makes me an MS
supporter doesn't it alias?).
Anyway, I thought I'd share my opinion on why linux is fighting an up-hill
battle. Recently, you may have read (thats if idiot tibirius hasn't posted
it yet) news about the new microsoft surface.
Now, what I like...

Vista related hardware drivers - needle in a haystack. by
Lyndon
I have been trying to resolve a Vista/Internet issue for a while, even after
my ISP came out and proved their modem/line were OK. Vista told me that all
my hardware drivers were fine and up-to-date, but after nothing else would
work, I started going to vendor websites and downloading their latest
drivers. I hit the jackpot with the Ethernet card's driver. Although the
driver...

I'm user IE as my browser and have Windows Vista as OS. Yahoo is my home

Using OEM Vista to upgrade XP? by
Gareth
I've been conned in to buying what turns out to be an (expensive) oem
version of Vista Home Premium.
I've read conflicting information on whether or not I can use the oem disk
to upgrade an existing installation of XP Home.
Can anyone explained whether or not it is possible to use an oem Home
Premium disk to upgrade an installation of XP Home?
Gareth.

osk in Vista very very slow by
eddy
Hi ,
my MFC application calls the internal onscreen keyboard osk for touchscreen
purpose (2000, XP). But now in Vista the osk takes about 15-20 sec to pop up.
With this behaviour I can NOT use it further on. Why is the osk so so slowly
in Vista? Does anybody know a solution for this problem? Thanks for any hint.
Regards
Eddy

Outlook 2007 remains hanging by
HrundiBakshi
Here's something I only came across in Vista: Most of the times after I close
Outlook 2007, the OUTLOOK.EXE *32 process remains hanging, and has to be
killed in the Task Manager. I tried repairing Office, ain't workin'. Not even
after a fresh Windows install, followed by the most careful Office 2007
installation.
Am I the only one that has experienced this?
