After installing Vista, my HP vs. 15 LCD displays a half inch black line somewhere on the screen. It changes locations when I reboot and occasionally when I change programs. I've updated my drivers, changed resolutions, and changed refresh rates, but nothing has worked. Any suggestions?

I tried to use my DKU-5 cable to connect my nokia phone, but I didn’t find the vista driver. I tried to install the XP driver, and it installed well, but the port didn’t work. The driver can’t load the .sys file. Have someone a solution for this problem? Thanks for your help. JC

I have a philips external HD conect to my PC (FireWire)... when I change disk- folder- settings after a will the directory table seems corrupt. I am a genuine it-ignorant. When installing the old printer to my new shiny labtop I unfortunately used the old method: plugged in the installation cd before the printer. This has the result that the pc do not notise at all when I plug the printer in here after. How do I "reset" and start from scratz? I cant find the drivers I might have installed in my stupidity... :( Please help /Pernille

Hi Guys and Gals We have a little problem here with vista home and playing dvd's in media player or media center. Whenever we try to play a dvd in either player the pc crashes and get the BSOD. Hi, I have a Sumvision USB2-SATA Drive enclosure, fitted with a Western Digital 400 Gb drive. When I plug it into a laptop running XP, the drivers all install automatically. However, on my Vista box, there is a problem in finding a driver - Vista reports this as the driver for the hard drive itself, not the enclosure.

I presently run the FX5200. Aero works fine. Everything (bar the bloody NETWORKING with my wife's XP Pro machine!) works fine. But my FX5200 only has 128MB RAM onboard. Will upgrading to FX5500 with 256 MB onboard RAM make an appreciable difference? Both are, by necessity, 'older' style PCI cards...not PCI Express....old mother of a motherboard!

Hi, I have Windows Vista Home Premium on a computer with Intel Core Duo CPU 6400 @ 2.13 GHz, 2 GB RAM, NVIDEA GeForce 8800 GTS, and SoundBlaster Xtreme Audio card. Hello, I had a bluetooth mic that works with any windows XP pro machine, but not with Vista. I am seeing some posts on the net that state MS removed this functionality. Is this the case? Does anyone have a bluetooth mic working with Vista? Thanks in advance. Jake

When I clean install Vista Ultimate on my Intel-based (Multicenter/915p motherboard) MCE I get no sound, because there are no sound devices available. Hi, Under XP, my external USB drive always had the same letter, "N". Under Vista, it keeps taking up the first available letter even although I change it back to "N" under management tools. How can I make it retain the letter "N"? Cheers

cannot get pictures from my Pentax optio 330... says everything ok...... I tried downloading drivers from disc and pentax site everthing seemed OK when I go to "start"..."windows photo gallery"..."import pictures and videos".. under scanners and cameras my Pentax is there as a scanner not a camera and it comes up with Xerox as manufacturer. what gives?
