How to record audio through computer and not mic by Ice
Hi, I'm running Vista RC2 5744 with an Abit K8N-SLI mobo, and I was wondering how to capture the sounds that my computer plays and record them. What I mean by this, is back in XP I went to sound manager with that wonderful long bar of sound tools, went to the recording panel, and checked the stereo checkbox. This caused sound recorder to record sounds directly from my computer before they...

Saturation problems when publishing by ISW
I originally posted this on another message board, but have not received any responses, so I'm posting here in hopes that someone can help me. When I publish my movie (to a DVD or my computer), the red tones (specifically skin tones) tend to be over saturated. The people in the pictures look like they're sunburned. I originally created the movie on my old computer using version 2.1 (XP) and...

Noise (popping) Using Media Center's CD Playback by Brad in PDX
I have transferred my CD collection onto my CD. I have noticed an annoying popping noise and garbled when playing the music within VISTA (Media Center). If I playback using Windows Media Player outside of MC, same music file no issues and it sounds great. What's the difference between these programs? I later found that if I have the Media Center open and playing back using the Windows...

Publish Pictures to a website like XP by QHAWK
In XP picture folders had the option to upload all the pictures in a folder to a website (like spaces, or another one you register). This was an awesome, if hard to discover feature. I can't find this anywhere in Vista. Hope this wasn't removed. Quinn

WMP won't play MP3, but does everything else by Bob
My Windows Media Player works fine in Vista Ultimate for WAV files. But when I play MP3 files, there is no sound. The progress bar moves as if it is playing however. The MP3 plays fine using QuickTime. I uninstalled QuickTime, but that didn't help WMP. The MP3 file plays fine on other Vista machines, but not my Ultimate machine.

Well, that does not seem to happen anymore. How come the video isn't saved to the hard disk once I play it online? I thought maybe that it's saved in a different place now that I have Windows Vista installed, or is...
