Can anyone comment on whether the software from a drive mfgr. that writes zeros to the drive is sufficient and secure when transfering the drive ? TIA.

I did a fresh install of Ultimate and am running it on a Sony Vaio. Sont used some custm icons on My Computer and I went on an unsuccesful hunt to locate any images or icons for the Sony card reader. I see that Ultimate will allow the user to assign icons for the different devices - if I couldonly locate the icons. Any ideas ? TIA.

I did an in place upgrade from XP MCE ( sony version ) to Vista ultimate. TV and sound worked just fine. I decided to do a fresh install of Vista Ultimate and the TV and sound is now dead. Same machine. No combo of Sony drivers seems to get it going. I have the Realtak and SOny driver version numbers but they no longer seem to be available. Appreciate any thoughts and advice.

Just got a WD Passport for backups and Vista refuses it. Seems the drive is formatted for fat32 not NTFS. If I reformat the drive to NTFS will Vista Back Up accept it ?
