2 GB dual channel vs 3 GB single channel by
FrozenEclipse
I bought a 1 GB stick of RAM for my comp today, but I made the rookie
mistake of not realizing that having an odd number of sticks of RAM in
my comp (3x1GB) would make me lose the dual channel. So my question is,
do I lose performance by not having the dual channel? Would I actually
gain some by having additional memory? Or is it really a crapshoot with
no real gain or loss of performance either...

I have an HP IPAQ 1945 that I can't get to sync with Vista by
Frustrated
As I read in another message, everything was fine with sync between the IPAQ
and Windows XP. Now that I have a new computer with Vista, it's useless.
After hours of online reading on HP site (which proved useless), I finally
figured out that IPAQ wasn't compatible with Vista. I have installed what I
believe to be the correct drivers, etc so that the IPAQ will sync with new
computer/Vista....

Hi,
I plugged in my bluetooth USB adapter and the driver installed without a
problem and now appears under Bluetooth Devices in Device Manager as
"Kensington Bluetooth EDR Dongle", which is the correct driver.

media center extender to duplicate screen? by
fthibodeau
I can use my son's xbox as a media center extender to play computer
files on the TV. Can I also use media center to duplicate the laptop
screen content on the TV, so it is acting as a second monitor? (I
realize I could go the s-video route if I have to.)
Thanks

Major Problem - VISTA RTM / P5WD2-Premium / ICH7R SATA RAID by
ftlee
I have tried loading the x32 RTM version of Vista on my P5WD2-Premium with
absolutely no luck. I have tried many different ICH7R SATA RAID drivers
including the one that comes on the OS DVD. The OS installs but, upon first
reboot, the RAID array becomes corrupt and will no longer boot (solid HD
light). I have tried RAID0 and 1. Both have the same results.
Anyone else seen this issue? ...

Possible Fix: Microsoft Force Feedback 2 Joystick and the self center force disabling by
funks
Hello,
I have a Microsoft Force Feedback 2 Joystick working with the
Vista X64 Driver that comes built in.
I noticed that games that has support for Force Feedback will disable
the Self Centering Feature of the stick and makes it go limp.
For example, on IWAR2 - when I enabled the force effects, the stick got
limp and wouldn't autocenter. Disabling the force effects from within

I have recently upgraded to Vista (what a nightmare) and when doing so, I
needed to update my drivers for my UPS - APC Powerchute Personal Edition

Yesterday my PC cut out; there was no power cut, but the PC shut off
completely in an instant and the UPS the alarm was going off. It did not
switch to battery?
Rebooting the machine, it seemed the UPS was not talking to Vista...

I have a stupid question by
furby
I have a Lexmark X1200 printer. I just recently (This morning) got a
new computer with Vista on it. The problem is, when I plugged the USB
cable into the Vista machine, it saw that there was new hardware,
asked me to put the disk that I got with the printer into the drive
and tried to install the drivers. However, since those drivers are XP
drivers, they didn't install. So I went to the lexmark...
