Hi,
I want to backup my Windows Vista Ultimate PC to a 1TB time capsule on my
home network through Vista's inbuilt Backup and Restore Centre. When I pick
'Back up files' and then select 'On a network' and browse, I find the time
capsule. I can even browse the folders inside it. I have a folder called
"Windows backup" that I created, and I can select this folder. When I go to
click 'Next',...

Backup a 2003se PDA by
Nitz
Hi.
I can't seem to find the way to backup my rx3715 in the windows mobile
device center. I know where the option should be, but it's simply not there.
Also, my PDA has an interesting tenancy to get stuck while connected to my
PC. Any way to solve any one of these problems?
Thanks,
Nitzan

there was enough storage space available. After the backup I still have
over 400G of available space.

Backup system crashes and hard drive timeout by
John[_22_]
I had been having strange error messages, followed by a crash dump, while
doing a complete backup.
Checking over my power settings, I noticed I had set an early timeout for
hard drive. I normally don't run in the Performance setting, so I
configured it for backup, setting the hard drive to always be on.
Since I did this, I haven't had any more system crashes.
The strange error messages...

Backup transiet error by
boltman
Home Premium in a new desktop will not do backup. The message says:
"the writer experie3nced a transient error. If the backup process is
retried, the error may not reoccur (0x800423F3).
The problem is, it does reoccur every time, even if I just reduce the
requests to documents only.

Bad RAM workaround possible? by
Dfrey1969
One of the ram modules in my computer has sudden developed a fault that
prevents Vista from booting up without causing a bluescreen. If I run the
memory diagnostic it says there is an error, and then the subsequent reboot
will let Vista boot up. And this is now the only procedure that lets Vista
boot up. It blue screens on boot up even in Safe Mode. Well, anyway, once I
have run the memory...

BAD_POOL_CALLER? by
Clark
Anyone know what this means when associated with a Blue Screen on Boot?
This is still related to my modem causing a BSOD if I boot with it enabled.
Works fine if I enable after boot.
It gave a bunch of numbers also, so if they would help I have them.
Thanks,
Clark

BAFFLED!! please help! by
Skeletoon
I just spent a lot of money on a new custom built machine for work: msi
X58 platinum, intel core i7 965, geforce GTX 280, 1TB samsung HDD with
12 gigs of DDR3 RAM.
The problem is that though vista recognizes everything, It's
UNBELIEVABLY slow. I've taken out 3 of the RAM sticks leaving 6 gigs,
and It's quicker!! (though now Vista recognises 3.99 of that remaining
6gig) This machine should blitz...

Balanced or to High Performance - reduce the battery life by
Lovingly
If you change the power plan to Balanced or to High Performance, you may
reduce the battery life of the computer.
I am using High Performance settings for my battery but this appears. Why?
And is there any way to keep the battery at a low charge with the battery and
AC plugged in?
