Will a suitable TV Card obtainable for my Vista Home Premium allow me to
copy tapes from VCR to my hard drive for later editing. Or can someone
recommend a reasonable priced card for this purpose.

TV Cards in RC2 by
Allen DeKorsey
I was able to get my Hauppage PVR-150 to work, but only after a clean
install, the prior install over RC1 gave me fits with MC crashing everytime I
went near the TV options. In your case it sounds like a driver problem.

TV Connecion times out by
Pacemaker
I have an ATI Radeon X1300 series video controller that works fine as an
interface to my Toshiba DLP TV. I use the system as both a DVR and a general
computer. The problem that I'm having is that some piece of the system goes
to sleep and won't come back again without a system reboot. This only happens
when I go back to regular TV for an extended time.
What I've done:
- I've ensured that...

TV functions of Radeon AIW x1900 don't work in Vista by
[email protected]
I recently bought a new machine with a Radeon AIW x1900 video card.
It worked wonderfully with XP. With Vista the TV functions don't work
at all. Does anyone know if ATI is going to support the TV functions
in Vista? Although they advertise the card as completely Vista
compatible, their Catalyst download site simply states that the TV
functions don't work in the current version of Catalyst but...

TV pauses by
Gjack
I just bought a Hp 8300 with the Windows media center running Vista.
If I try and watch the TV, it will pause and need to restart the computer
to use the computer. It just locks up. Hp Tech support had me install new
drivers, then they had me do the reinstall to original settings.. It worked
until I tried to record, then it locked up again and the TV doesn't work
again. It will lock up after...

TV Tuner by
Todd Marks
Can anyone give me some good, affordable TV Tuners that work well w/ Vista
Media Center? I would like to get one w/ a PCI interface, but I also do have
a PCI Express x1 slot available. I guess USB wouldn't be out of the question
either as long as the picture quality is decent. Thanks in advance,
Todd

I've got a HP ec300 dvb-t tv tuner which I connected to my Acer
laptop. I found the Vista driver on HP's website but I can't get it
working. Is it possible that it will work only with HP laptops?

TV Tuner card by
JBrown
My system is an HP Media Center. It has Vista home premium . Would like to
add a TV Tuner PCIe card to it. I am looking mainly for analog and digital.
If it has HD that would be OK. I do not want to spend alot of money on it.
Less than $100. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

TV Tuner Cards by
[email protected]
Are TV Tuner Cards of any value (yet) in a PC? I've read that the signal
is analog and, therefore, HD signals suffer. Also, I've read that cards
that have a didtal tuner on them (?) also have an analog tuner so you can
watch an analog program while recording a digital program. It sounds to
me like TV cards have not yet matured. Is that correct? Am I missing
something? Thank you...........

TV tuner for my Gateway MX8711 by
icyunvluckieme
I just purchased a brand new laptop and I am clueless as to how a tv tuner
works. I have a couple of probably goofy questions. With the tuner will I be
able to watch tv wherever I wish? I am interested in watching tv in the
evening between classes at school? Next is there a certain type of tuner I
should purchase? Will I need just the card that goes into the slot on the
side of my computer?...
