When I log onto Windows Mail, my emails automatically open upon logging in. I am concerned that some unsolicited emails may contain viruses. Is is possible to reset my account to only open an email after I have selected it to open?

We are having a problem with emails that have multiple attachments being delayed for several hours and sometimes days. Is there a setting I need to adjust?
