Windows Mobile Device Center Problems and Missing Features by
ppericles
Hello Everybody.
I have Windows Vista Ultimate and Office 2007 (Retail). My PDA is an
iPAQ6915. I have installed Windows Media Device Center (RTM) and I face the
following problems:
1. The synchronization with outlook is not always done (no error messages).
Specifically, when adding new appointments to my outlook calendar and my PDA
is on its cradle, there are occassions when not all of them...

Windows Mobile Device Center not finding AT&T 8525 by
Crandaddy
I just got a new Vista machine and a new AT&T 8525. I downloaded and
installed Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1, but it won't find the 8525. The
phone is connected via USB, and it's getting power. I've read the official
Microsoft troubleshooting guide
(http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/devicecenter/troubleshooting.mspx),
but it wasn't much help.
What I've learned is that I'm supposed...

Windows Mobile Device Center Driver Problems by
Ed Cho
I posted on the beta NG's but realized they were closing today, so I decided
to repost the same Q here. Any help would be appreciated!
---
Good Evening,
I was wondering if someone could help me troubleshoot. I am having trouble
using WMDC with my PPC-6700... When I plug the device into the cradle, it
correctly recognizes the RNDIS driver... but it then asks me a driver for an
unknown...

Windows Mobile Device Center doesn't connect with Sprint PPC-6700 by
Sherry
I have spent time talking with Sprint about why the Vista desktop doesn't
connect with my phone (PPC-6700). I have installed and uninstalled and
reinstalled Windows Mobile Device Center which I downloaded on 2/18/08 so I
assume it is not downlevel. When I connect the phone and open WMDC, I just
get NOT Connected. Anyone have this phone working on Vista? Any clues or
things to test? Many...

Windows Mobile Device Center Does not work with OneNote Mobile by
EricV
Hi,
OneNote 2007 supports automatic installation of OneNote Mobile on Windows
Mobile if you have ActiveSyn 4.2.
Well, this procedure does not work on the Vista laptop.
Vista and ActiveSync are mutually exclusive. Instead on Vista you need
Windows Mobile Device Center.
I Have setup my IPAQ 6915 and my laptop as paired devices. And Bluetooth
sending of files works fine vice versa.
However they...

Windows Mobile Device Center Corrupts WM 2003SE by
Databoy2k
Hey All:
I think this might be a unique issue, but here goes.
I have an iPAQ with Windows Mobile 2003SE. Since I installed Vista and
Windows Mobile Device Center (final), an issue arose wherein adding new tasks
and setting a due date automatically set a start date on the PDA. There is no
way to unlink the two - it automatically sets the due and start dates to the
same date. I do not use start...

Windows Mobile Device Center Calendar Sync Error by
muneebminhas
Hello,
I'm always having trouble with synchronizing my Calendar items. Everytime I
try to select the Calendars to sync for more than the default 2 weeks I get
an error dialog box saying:
"Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click
Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If
you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

Windows Mobile Device Center and 2 HP iPAQ's by
jasonb007
I have Windows Vista Business 32, Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 and
Outlook 2007. I use an HP iPAQ 514 Voice Messenger and can sync ok via
Bluetooth and USB. I sync calendar, tasks, email & contacts. I have
introduced another iPAQ - HP iPAQ 614c and set this up to sync just tasks and
calendars. Again, can sync via Bluetooth and USB connection. I want to be
able to sync ALL calendar...

Windows Mobile Device Center - Will Not Install by
(db)
Sorry for cross-posting. This is, probably, a more-appropriate group.
I've installed a Vista Business 'N' on a PC (new install, old machine) - and
attempted to install the Windows Mobile Device Center Driver Update.
The installation fails - "The update could not be installed because at least
one Windows component required by Windows Mobile Device Center is missing"
WTH???

windows mobile device center - device only connects on one USB por by
Rob Ellis
My Orange SPV C600 smartphone only shows as 'connected' when plugged into 1
particular USB port on my laptop. When plugging it into any other USB port,
Vista plays the hardware connect sound, etc, but WMDC never sees the phone.
Is this expected behaviour, that I have to always connect using the same port?

Windows Mobile Device Center & T-mobile Dash by
bswell
I purchased my T-mobil Dash and immediately sync'd without incident to my
Windows Vista Home premium machine (running Windows Mobile Device). The next
day I took the phone to work and sync'd it with my work machine running
Windows XP (active sync). When I returned home to sync, my Vista Machine
doesn't even recognize it. I do see a device under the mobile devices (in
device manager). I have...

6I just removed the BETA and installed the release version 6 for Vista. It
wants to set up a new partnership and I want to use the same name as my
partnership while I was using the BETA, but it tells mw that name is already
being used. I see no place to delete a partnership. When I disconnect my
device their not partnership link in WMDC6.

Windows Mobile Device Center by
אמה׆
Some applications need ActiveSync to be installed to communicate with a
mobile device.
It would be useful if Windows Mobile Device Center could make these
applications avoid the "Couldn't find ActiveSync" error.

Does anyone know the status of the Windows Mobile Device Center? The
ActiveSync page says that this will be the replacement for ActiveSync in
Windows Vista. When is the projected release date?

I have installed the recent Beta 3 of Windows Device Mobile Center. I connect

save my password, but right now it is grayed out. How can I enable it please?

Windows Mobile device can't access Internet when connected to Vist by
Chris
I recently stopped using my Windows Mobile 5 device on my Windows XP PC...and
started using the device on my Windows Vista PC.
When the device was in its cradle and the cradle was connected to my WinXP
PC, the device was able to access the Internet. Now that the cradle is
connected to my Vista PC, however, the device can no longer access the
Internet. Any idea what might be causing...

Windows Mobile Device by
Sandy
Hi there. I set up my IPAQ to synchronise Outlook Calendar, Mail, Address
Book and Tasks and it worked on a number of occassions. Then suddenly it
stopped and now Vista thinks that my IPAQ is a 'File Store' (that's the
description it gives in thepartnership screen) and the only thing I can do is
load media files onto the IPAQ, no opportunity to synchronise with Outlook
anymore.
