Little problem, i did that and yeah it installed it ok. But then i went and let Vista pick the driver for my ati x1600... rebooted and it bluescreen so i had to use last known config. I see that the sound driver aint' installed again, so i do that again but just get error saying it found drivers but couldn't find the file it needed. I deleted the dir and tried again but still same error...

My laptop keeps crashing and re-booting itself. When it diagnosed why windows had shut down, it came up with that I may have a problem with my audio system. after a power outage vista does not not recognize keyboard and mouse, i have keyboard and mouse functionality till vista login page, then frozes there. I tried safe-mode, same. I installed the Sound Blaster Live, drivers only, in XP compatibility mode. It installed and works fine but every time I start Vista the following message pops up and then disappears. "Completing installation of your audio card", "read reg" What do I delete to get rid of this message?

Hi I have an ICH9R board and intel matrix storage. I previously had a 1TB drive with 250GB free (not partitioned). I added a second 250GB hard drive. Is it possible to create a raid1 volume (end of 1TB drive+full 250GB drive) without loosing all my data on the other 750GB of the drive? I don't see how to do it in the matrix storage console. Hello, for some reason, my CD/DVD drive will not recognize empty discs, so giving me issues burning Vista with Alchohol 120%. It works fine, because it reads my other CD/DVD's. I am probably gonna get some new CD-RW's to retry, but any suggestion/help on this issue?
