Adding network printer error by
Frizzb
I have a machine running Vista Ultimate receives the following error when I
select add printer, add network printer and then select one of the available
network printers from the list: Windows cannot connect to the printer.
Operation could not be completed (0x00000006).
All of the printers available on the network show in the list as available

box that is connected to the network. File sharing works OK between XP and
Vista boxes.
I want to print to the laser from the Vista box, so I go to Printers Add a

Adding network printers by
Pike33
I successfully installed a networked HP printer onto my laptop which is
running Vista. I attempted to add a second network printer (Samsung) and got
an error message: "Windows can not connect to the printer. There is not
enough memory to complete this operation. Please close some programs and try
again." I am 99.99% certain I do not have a memory problem. This is a brand
new computer. Any...

Adding Network Printers to a client machine by
JerryA
I am trying to give users the ability to add a network printer on Vista
Client with Windows 2003 server R2 without having to give them admin rights.
I have tried all kinds of suggestions but none completely allow the printer
to be installed. I have UAC off because it causes too many conflicts with
other programs. I can not give the user admin rights to the computer. I
have 500 laptops to...

I'm a new Vista Business user, have no manuals and moving from Win-2000 the
interfaces are not very intuitive.
I have an existing home wireless network comprised of a Linksys a/b/g
wireless router connected to a Linksys wireless print server that was working
very well for my wife and I using Windows 2000 on our notebooks.
Under Win-2000 I simply added the driver for the Linksys wireless...

Additional printer drivers by
Ian
I am running RC1 (64 bit) as a clean install.
It correctly identified my Epson Acculaser C900 on install which prints fine.
I also have a Win2k machine, 2 XP Pro machines and a 2003 server.
I am trying to share the printer, but need to install additional drivers.
Under Sharing/Additional drivers, if I tick the (x86) box, for 2000/XP
drivers, and click OK, it asks me to supply a driver(.inf...

Addressing Recipients with Windows Fax by
Jason Harrison
In previous versions of Microsoft Fax, the fax wizard allowed you to enter a
recipient name, fax number, and so on. It seems that with Windows Fax and
Scan there is no way to enter a name and number in the “To:” field unless you
add an address book entry and then choose that persons fax address.
Often we find users wanting to just send a quick fax to someone that is not
in their...

ADF works in Windows Fax and Scan but not Windows Document Imaging. by
mrmanfam[_3_]
Using Vista Ultimate 64 bit, and an HP 5550c scanner. My ADF works fine
in Windows Fax, Windows Scan, Paperport, but in Windows Document
Imaging, it scans the one page and that is it! It stops!
Likewise when I try scanning a multipage document in Picasa 3 using the
ADF. One page, and that's it.
Any ideas? I've checked all the settings I can find.

Adobe Printing by
Donbon
I have seen a couple of messages about printing to Adobe and getting a
message that it was printed to a temporary internet file. I dont think the
answer is with Adobe as I have version 8.1.2. I think this is a security
issue with Vista. Can anyone tell me how to turn off this security so I can
print an Adobe file to my documents.
The message says. "internet explorer" in the title bar. ...

After printing several documents, the print queue hangs, print st by
FredJ
I am running Windows Vista Ultimate. I have an HP 6540 printer. After
printing several documents the print queue Breaks. I look at the printer,
the busy light is flashing as if it is printing, but nothing comes out. The
print queue has from 2 to 5 jobs waiting. The only way out of this is to
1:turn off the printer. 2:restart the system. 3:when the system comes back up
check the print...

After Vista SP1 Can Print But Closes Programs by
ComposeDigital
We print to a Canon iR C2620 installed on the network. Prior to VSP1 we had
no problems. Now, we can still print but no matter what program we print
from... it immediately stops responding and Vista closes the program (IE7,
Mail, Office, etc). Tried reinstalling the printer drivers (the latest from
canon for vista) with no luck. Have not tried to roll back the SP1 update.
Not even sure if I...
