Temporary Internet Files by
Jay
When I try to print a web site image to an Adobe PDF file, Vista states that
for security purposes the pdf file will be placed in a "virtual" temporary
internet file folder, then opens the virtual folder on C drive, but then
doesn't save the file in the folder. I've been able to work around the
problem by disabling all user account control security, but there has to be
an easier way. I'd...

Disable open file security warning for specific files by
strker250
Hi
I've been trying to find a way to disable the "Open File - Security
Warning" for a specific file. Preferably via local group policies.
Is there a way to do this for specific files and not just file
extensions? Or can Vista only disable it for file extensions?
Thanks in advance.

Unable to delete AVG by
JackiMcK
I've tried everything. AVG doesn't show up under programmes, McAfee
sent me a link that is supposed to delete AVG, I can't download McAfee
as it says it is conflicting with AVG. We tried searching for hidden
files, it doesn't even show up in my security icon. So how do we get
rid of it?

Bypassing BitLocker in TPM-only (basic) mode...? by
groffg[_3_]
Anyone had any experience bypassing BitLocker (basic mode) using the
recovery console (i.e., booting to the Windows DVD or rescue CD)? Based
on the documentation, seems like it would work (provided BIOS is
configured to boot to CD/DVD drive before the HDD).
Having said that, would M$ allow such an obvious attack vector? I don't
have a machine w/ a TPM right now, so I can't test this myself....
