i had to quickly buy a replacement pc - with vista home premium- couldn't find the fax feature vista help has a section on xp vs vista it showed the xp way and then the vista way which was: start / all programs / windows fax and scan it isn't there and wfs.exe is not to be found in program files nor anywhere else is it just gone forever or is it in some other vista version? thanks

I get this message everytime that I try to install a network printer in Vista Ultimate. I bring the "Add Printer" wizard, select netwrok printer, and I get the "Windows Explorer Has Stopped Working" box, then Explorer restarts and I'm back to square one. Would like to install current Vista version on two new SATA HD's. They are a little faster. Have support for four SATA drives. Drive 3 is stand alone which will be removed for the 2 new drives. Help! I'm new to Vista. I am having difficulty in printing gridlines believe it or not! I make sure the ribbon is checked "view & print" gridlines. I check the "print preview" which shows the gridlines, and finally I go into "page layout" to make sure that the "print gridlines" box is checked off...and when it prints...no gridlines!!!! I have a new laptop that is running Vista and a home computer that is running XP Home. I am trying to print from my laptop to my home computer wireless.

I am trying to print on an HP Laserjet 5 Printing happens intermittently. Sometimes it prints just fine. Other times, the status for the job in Vista's print queue is "Error - Printing". I can delete the job (but I have to delete it twice). If I reboot the machine, the job in the queue will print properly immediately upon rebotting. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

In attempting to install a HP Photosmart 7660 as HP directs, I do not get a list of manufacturers from the Add Local Printer wizard (after picking printer on LPT1 as HP directs). Shouldn't I get a long list of manufacturers and printers? What's wrong? TIA Bob L.

Vista won't print multiple copies no matter what number I enter in the copies box or even if I go into properties and change the default number of copies...always prints only 1. Any suggestions?? thankyou!!! -- kimba
