When opening a folder in Vista my Word document appears as a notepad file and opens in notepad. However, when i go to my XP it appears as a word doc and opens correctly. Is this a vista problem? I have Office 2003 on both computers.

This is not actually a new suggestion because i pretty sure this was a power toy under win 95 When we have a shortcut that point to a folder i would like to have a contextual menu where i could see the content and have a cascading menu of the subfolder contain in the target of the shortcut.. anyone remember... My CD/DVD s in the Optiarc DVD RW AD-5170A refuses to refresh in Windows Explorer. Listing the drive in Command Window works perfect. I want to get rid of vista and install xp pro on my computer. I purchased a full install version of xp. Xp won't install over a newer version. I can't fdisk with vista. I can't figure out how to delete the primary partition and completely clean my hard drive. All advice will be appreciated. Thanks
