This program looks too cartoonish. That may fly with younger people, but good luck trying to get us middle-aged and older folks using it.

An unknown error has occurred. ... Error Number: 0x80090024 by Al Christoph
What I have 1. I'm using DSL to sbcglobal.net 2. The July build of Vista Ultimate on a home brew box (that had been fine as an SBS 2003 server until I shut that down. The only change I had to make was to get a much more expensive video card. The previous card couldn't show the icons in the upper left corner and looked like the screen was broken out in measles - little red dots all over the place....

select recipients dialogue box by Jim Hanson
two really needed changes: 1. please make the select recipients dialogue box expandable. i can hardly see many of the people and email addresses on the left because the space is so small. 2. when you press enter a second time--it should not close the dialogue box--it should add that person's email into the "to" box on the right. --

send keyboard shortcut by Jim Hanson
please add a keyboard shortcut to send messages. i don't like having immediate send because i sometimes want to doublecheck emails i've written before sending them. i don't like having automatic send/receive for the same reason plus it takes like 5 to 10 minutes to do this and during this, it slows the program down considerably. yes, i can click the send but i'd really like a keyboard...

Views keep changing and how do you enter data in other columns by Spirefm
1. Windows Mail, like other folders, has a 'Views' selection. Fine. I select a prefered (lists) go away. Come back and POW I have to select my preferred view all over again. How do I get it to STAY? 2. Another potentially nice feature is the ability to select the column headers. I chose Name, email address, email 2, email 3. Now how do I put data into the new columns? I kind of expected new...

Windows Mail in Loop with message about communities by Al Christoph
I checked Tools | Options | Use newsgroup ratings features. When I went to send a message to this group, I got a message to the effect of can't connect to communits. There was a second message which I turned off, and forget. There was no way of killing the message, so I had to task manager kill Windows Mail which was still there even though I had exited the program and there was no window...

Junk filtering won't turn off in Windows Mail by Al Christoph
How big of a hammer do i need to turn off junk email filtering in Windows Mail? (See my other postings on why junk email filtering is positively bad for me.) I have it turned of in options. It says so in the junk mail folder message listing window when the folder is empty. I've restarted the program. What else do I need to do? Regards,

A curious thing happend with Windows Mail dragging attachments into the Inbox. by Al Christoph
I forwarded a bunch of hotmail using Windows Live Desktop, not paying much attention and just dragging them into a new message. When I received the huge message I could not drag them out as expected. When ever I dropped them into the inbox I got a new message with the dragged items as attachments. Turns out that, for what ever reason, two of the messages had _eml as the extension. Since...

Overly agressive filtering by Windows Mail on Low Setting - a BIG problem and a suggested solution. by Al
1. I receive a lot of email from mailing lists that are NOT newsgroups in the technical sense. In my very limited (a couple hours up with the august build but several hundred pieces of mail) experience with Windows Mail, I'm getting way too many false positives - good mail in the junk folder. 2. This is on the low setting. I'd hate to see what the high setting did. The low setting also had...
