Hello guys. I recieved my original Vista Ultimate 64bit yesterday, and I have been trying to install it ever since.. It says I need a driver, for my cd/dvd. In XP, I'd click on the speaker icon in the system tray and have a mixer. There I could mute/unmute the microphone input. In Vista it seems like I have to go through a myriad of dialog boxes: Ctrl Panel sound speakers Level. Am I misisng something? Is there a shorter path? If not, can I assign a shortcut key? Thank you

Just placed a SATA drive into a Vista Ultimate desktop. I have a total of three (3) SATA drives yet to be introduced to the system ranging from 120 to 500GB in addition to the 400GB EIDE primary drive. I fried my hard drive last week. Dell has already installed a replacement drive. My question is that the os will not recognize the old drive at all. Like an idiot I forgot to backup my files. Is there a workaround? The disk drive does not even show up in the recovery function.

I have window Vista on an HP computer Device Manager does not display my printers. Device Manger did display them until I installed a bluetooth program, when thay disappeared.
