I am running windows vista home premium. When setting up my xbox 360 for the media center extender the computer does not find it. Both the xbox and comp are plugged into the same modem/router (internet from ATT modem with 4 ethernet ports) and both access the internet without problem. I play COD4 ALOT but lately since SP1 ive had issues with sound lagging and or complete system lockups, If I kill SP1 i can play fine with no issues, anyone have any ideas?

Not sure if this is the right newgroup but: I have recently bought a laptop with 1.9ghz Dual Core processor and ATI Radeon X1200 graphics card. How likely is it I could run a '3d intensive' game on this laptop? e.g. Enemy Territory requires a 2.8ghz processor and ATI gfx. Will a dual core 1.9 processor still be able to run this?

My Games Explorer lost its preview pane. I can select it manually from the Organize button, but then it turns it on or off for a lot of other folders as well. I only want it on for the Games Explorer window. How do I fix this? - John

I see that the game is listed in VISTA supported games, but I am having a problem running the game on our new system. We have VISTA Ultimate It loads fine, seemingly starts correctly and then abruptly dies when you try to begin the play. The screen closes and you are at your desktop again. Ok so I just went out and bought the Warhammer 40 k Dawn of War Platinum Edition, which is it plus 2 expansions. I can download games from all the websites i.e. Big Fish etc but when it comes to Bigpond.com it appears to download but then I get a message that says a problem stopped the program from working correctly. When my wife plays spider soliatre after playing a half hour or so the game will often begin making a harsh crackily buzzing noise. THis is not a game noise but sounds like feedback crackling. TO the point we have to turn the speakers down for fear of blowing them ...checked all connections etc. Stops when game is exited ...anyone else ...any suggestions?

This is getting real old, real quick. I have my folder view setting to remember last view used but it keeps changing to detail view from medium icons in the Games folder, also the control panel too.

My screen resolution is set at 1280x800 but while playing AOE the gameboard colors are horrible. Do I need a plug in video card? Has anyone else had this problem?
