In the XP operating system when I wanted to find the storage locatioon of a file I could right click on the file-click properties and show the target location. In visa it seems that when I try the same thing the Path to the target is not visible. How do I find the target path?

I recently purchased a vista system with only one hard drive. It has a backup system which looks like a virtual hard drive. It advertises that it is a way to keep from losing ones files in case of a drive failure. How can this be ? If a hard drive fails, then all files are lost. How does this backup system protect me?

I recently installed Office 2007 on my machine with Windows Vista Premium. Upon installation Office did not automatically set the default program for opening .xls file to Excel like it used to.
