My Nero 7 is not responding, and I haven't had any success using the Task Manager to end the application, or the individual processes. Is there an 'Appl Killer'?

Hi, I would be graeful for any help. I'm new to computers so please be gentle! I have the Windows vista home premium package on a computer i bought 6 months ago.
