My laptop running Vista has been playing kind of funny recently. I will turn it on and everything runs fine, but then after a little bit of usage the sounds goes out and the computer slows down. It doesnt slow down a whole bunch, but it is quite noticable. Also the Taskbar usually goes white, not displaying anything, then flashes into normal, then goes white again. Please help.

Vista has crashed on me several times in the last few days. Every time I restore the operating system it creates a huge backup file on my C: drive. My hard disk is filling up fast but when I try to delete these files I get a message saying I don't have the correct permissions.
