Question for dm00ney by
You said you have 5.1 and EAX working on RC1. Are you saying with Windows
media player you get sound out of 5 speakers? I tried your tip, but the only
time I get 4 speaker sound (4.1 setup) is using the sound test. Are you
using an analog connection to your speakers?
Thanks for any input.

Dell PE 1800 CERC SATA RAID by
James @ Castel
I have attempted to install vista build 5600 x86 on a brand new dell
poweredge 1800 with SATA RAID.
The install ran through the first reboot. After that, it continuously
resets when trying to startup the operating system. The screen is completely
black; although sometimes you get a hint of a progress bar.
Any ideas?

PCI to PCI Bridge not enough resources by
labigbee
I have an ASUS p5rd1-vm mainboard with a nvidia geforce 6200 graphics card.
I upgraded to Windows Vista from a XP SP2 operating system. I now get an

runs my graphics card. I am in VGA Save mode and cannot get my PCI Express
graphics card to work. If I disable it and use the onboard graphics card
everything is OK,...

SATA Drive problems in Device Manager by
ChrisP
My 320 GB Seagate 7200.10 SATA shows in Vista Device Manager as "Having a
problem". Clicking "Hardware" Tab makes the tab disappear, and upon Reboot I
get the message that NTFS is corrupted and the DSKCHK has to be performed.
It happens every time after I boot into 64-bit Vista.
I am running 32-bit XP on the came physical drive, but in the different
partition, and XP has no problem...

Reinstall Palm Handheld? by
Tom Lake
I had a Palm handheld installed correctly in RC1 but had an error in the
Palm software so I uninstalled the software which also removed the handheld.
I tried to reinstall the driver for the handheld but it keeps saying it
can't find the files it needs even though I point it to the correct
directory on the CD. I also tried copying the CD files to a directory on
the hard drive, removed the...

RC1 Network Adapter Buffers Out of Range Error by
pennhaven
Reviewing the system event log shows two errors reported for my Marvell
Yukon ethernet controller at startup. "Receive buffers out of range."
and "Transmit buffers out of range."
My motherboard has two Marvell Yukon gigabit controllers. What I don't
know is which adapter the error messages refer to and what the
appropriate range should be. One adapter is a PCI and the other PCI-E.
For the...

Vista Hangs by
Kev
I've installed vista RC1 (64bit version). It installed and started up the
first time fine.
My wifi card (marvel libertas according to device manager) started on the
first boot, but failed thereafter. And now Vista will only frequently 'hang'
on booting. It loads the loading bar, fades to black, and does nothing else
(shold be going to user account login screen).
I've tried taking out the...

Mohawk
I have the Soundblaster Live 24, and went to the MFG site, got the "Beta" 64
bit drivers and find that Vista refuses to install the software. So no sound,
and no checking any multi media other than some video... less than 80% so
far..

Sony Vaio Hot Key by
bcain2005
I have the same issue, and have noticed that when installing the hotkey
library and the actual handler program that runs on boot from windows XP, the
hotkeys still don't work and the application complains that the battery is
too low and to hibernate before losing power regardless of actual power
usage. I think that we'll just have to wait until Sony gets its act together
and writes a driver...
