I just upgraded from windows xp to windows vista ultimate. It keeps giving me a notification saying I need to activate windows, but when I put in my product key, it says that it's not right and I need to buy one. However, I've already spent the 200 dollars on this upgrade to vista ultimate and would really rather not have to spend another 200 dollars for a product key. Can anyone PLEASE...

Hi Sorry to double post but this might be the better forum Just updated from XP Pro to Ultimate, I thought that when I booted from the Vista disk it would do the same as XP, that is I could format the drive and the install on a clean drive, but it just installed and kept my XP in windows.old. I have deleted windows.old as it was using to much space, as there does not seem to be a format in Vista...

In Windows98/2000/XP I could copy the i386 directory to the hard drive, and change the sourc path in the registry to point to the hard drive. Yes I'm another Vista user who is having DRM issues. I downloaded 4OD which should allow me to watch Channel 4 programs on my PC. However whenever I try and watch anything a pop up appears tell me something is wrong with my DRM and the it closes. DRM has been bothering me for ages. I need this specific update in order to install Trend Micro Internet Security Pro 2008, it asks me for this update in order to install. All other updates will install except for: Hotfix for Windows (KB931365). Does anyone have any suggestions to how I might be able to bypass this step all together or get it to download? I have just completed a fresh install of Vista Home Premium on my Toshiba Satellite A200 however, whenever I try to install a program Vista log's out and takes me to the login screen. Has anyone heard of this issue before and any way to resolve it?

The installation stopped in the "Installing updates" phase with error message "Windows could not set the offline locale information Errorcode 0x80FF0000" This was a completely new install on a new disk from a retail Vista Ultimate SP1 DVD. The ONLY odd thing I did along the way was to use an Nvidia MCP73 AHCI driver from a USB key. Any suggestions?
